Forgot to Mention

I forgot to mention in my last blog about a wonderful app that was recently produced by a group of artists in Chagford– well -an artist, a writer and a fabulous technician -Steve Dooley, Sam North and Bobby Gilbert. It is a retelling of The Wind In The Willows, especially for the brave new world of electronic devices. The website is: www.thewindinthewillowsapp.com  It is just enchanting! Please take a look at it if you get the chance.

Here’s a photo I just took of Elfie having a little nap with a troll who is coming to New York with us. I think the troll is trying to reserve his strength for the journey. I haven’t told him that he’ll be able to sleep on the plane (or that he’ll be in this position for the next week or so). He looks a bit like “Lindow Man” the preserved bog person when he’s all curled up like that. I always feel a bit guilty curling them up so tightly for travel but it really is the safest way. He’ll have a good stretch when we get there. Elfie just seems to like the company. Buster isn’t always so accommodating!

  1. The Wind in the Willows is fabulous, although I am a Luddite without Kindle. The Mr Badger I am making thinks it is quite impressive for a new fangled doodad.

  2. Dear Wendy, first of all thank you very much to you and Brian who give life to these little people I have in my mind since I was a child. I write you from France (sorry if I make some mistakes...) I would have so much things to tell you but I will be brief for this time. Friend of mine has a french book publishing house in Paris about spiritual life , he fell in love with "The fairies Oracle" I showed him. We don't have this oracle in a french traduction here and he would be VERY interest to publish it, so he tried to contact Simon & Schuster but not answer... So I try on my way on this blog and maybe you will find my message and maybe help us. This is my E mail for any questions and more details about the french publishing house: maialedissez@gmail.com . In the hope of receiving an answer from you both. With all my love. PS: Thank you for you dvd about making doll, I gave life to my own red hair fairy... Maïa le Dissez
